• Gwen is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate change, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with who they truly are.

Following a brief career in computer science, Gwen transitioned to the mental health field to more directly serve others. Over the past 25 years, she has worked across private practice, school counseling, backcountry guiding, strengths-based teaching, and adventure-based experiential groups—experiences that continue to shape her grounded, holistic approach to care.

For over 25 years, she has supported clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. Much of her work centers on identity—exploring questions of self-worth, belonging, purpose, and how past experiences shape the way people show up in the present. She provides an affirming space for clients to explore these deeper layers, including gender identity, life roles, and evolving personal narratives.

Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each individual. She integrates EMDR, experiential, and strengths-based practices, and brings an informed perspective on psychedelic-assisted therapy, supporting clients in preparation, integration, and meaning-making. Gwen is deeply committed to lifelong learning and continually expands her knowledge to better serve those she works with.

Above all, Gwen creates a space where clients can feel safe, understood, and supported as they move toward greater clarity, connection, and alignment in their lives.

  • Professional greeter and part-time emotional support specialist, Ponyo brings a whole lot of personality packed into her Portuguese Water Dog–Poodle mix.

She began her career in the high school setting, bringing her signature blend of calm, comfort, and tail-wagging joy to students and staff. Today, she works alongside Gwen in private practice, where she welcomes clients, helps ease first-session nerves, and ensures everyone feels a little more at home from the moment they arrive.

Ponyo has a natural ability to read the room. Whether offering a quiet, grounding presence, a gentle nudge for connection, or simply curling up nearby, she intuitively supports the therapeutic space in her own special way.
