Counseling Services

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. In her work with adolescents and adults, Gwen offers a holistic, brain-based and person-centered approach that is thoughtfully tailored to each individual.

Her work often begins with a top-down approach, focusing on building self-awareness and insight so clients can respond with intention rather than react from ingrained patterns. While these methods are grounded in cognitive understanding, Gwen integrates emotional awareness and attunement to body sensations to support clients in moving beyond stuck patterns and into a greater sense of relief and clarity.

When insight alone is not enough, Gwen incorporates bottom-up approaches that engage the deeper body-mind connection—where trauma, triggers, and habitual patterns are often held. Through a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space, clients are gently invited to explore and reconnect with more vulnerable aspects of themselves. This process supports integration, resilience, and a renewed sense of wholeness—the essence of post-traumatic growth.

Drawing from each client’s goals, history, strengths, and capacity, Gwen creates a collaborative therapeutic relationship. Clients are honored as the experts of their own experience, while Gwen brings extensive clinical training and experience working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals to help cultivate a more aligned, effective, and meaningful way of being in the world.
